Another year ends....Charitable Donations
In addition to our donations of money to national and local charities, in the last week of 2008 we gave over £1200-worth of produce to local institutions who are caring for homeless or disadvantaged people, including the Salvation Army in York. We hope that people who would otherwise be on the streets in the freezing fog of mid-winter will get some comfort from sharing a wholesome organic meal, and we're glad to be able to support these organisations' efforts. Gifts That You Send Us
Thank you to all of our customers and suppliers who have donated gifts for our staff tombola - we appreciate your generosity, but particularly your kind messages of support We feel very much part of a community of food-providers and food-consumers working towards a common goal of improving the quality of our region's food, but we couldn't do it without YOU! Holiday ClosuresJust a reminder that we’ll be closed between Christmas Day and New Year's Day. We will send out Price Lists as usual on Thursday 1 Jan, and deliveries will then be back to normal in the first full week after New Year Staff Celebration
There will be a tinge of sadness to the evening as we remember Mick Perry who died in early December - but we are sure he will be there in spirit with us! VacanciesFrom next spring we are hoping to recruit another Horticultural Assistant who can work on a casual basis from March to October to plant and harvest our herbs and salads. At the moment we don't currently have any vacancies for other staff Thank you all very much for your support during 2008!Best wishes for 2009 from Alex A, Alex M, Arnold, Charlie, Chris, Gez, Isabel, Jess, John, Ken, Kevin, Layla, Neil, Paul, Susan & Tony |
