What’s Growing this month?
In the
herb garden the perennial herbs are coming back into growth - the chives will
soon be ready for cutting, but the bronze fennel, lovage, mint and sage will need a little
more time
The greenhouse is choc-a-bloc with trays of seedlings. and potted transplants including parsley & chillis. We're growing 3 varieties of chilli this year, ranging from relatively mild to positively incendiary! In the tunnels we've sown thousands of French Breakfast radishes to harvest from the end of April; and we're in the process of planting out lots of herbs and salad leaf (like the landcress above) We managed to recover Tunnel 3 at the end of February in a quiet moment between the gales, and so far the cover remains intact! Hopefully Tunnel 5 will follow suit in the next week or so - if not we're going to have a lot of homeless cucumbers! |
