What fresh produce is available?

Depending on the season we offer bulk & pre-packed vegetables, soft & top fruit, salads & herbs all sourced as locally as possible, but including imports.

What about Groceries?

Our range of groceries includes Acorn milk & cream, Lye Cross cheese, Botton juices & preserves, Saker bread, eggs, & Arthur Street hummus.

What’s in a VegeBox?

VegeBoxes are fixed-price boxes of mixed seasonal produce, in a range of sizes: Small with 2-5kg produce, Medium containing 3-7kg, or Large containing 5-11kg.

Fruit Boxes come in a similar variety of sizes, and contain a seasonal selection of apples, bananas, pears, citrus, & kiwis, with melons, mangoes, grapes and soft fruits available in the larger boxes.

How do I order?

Contact us for the current week’s price list, fill in the quantities you want and fax/email it back to us.  Tell us what day you want the produce and whether you’re collecting or want us to deliver.  We’ll confirm when your order will be ready, and advise you of any significant shortages to give you the chance to add substitute items.

Can I order part boxes?

Yes, but we charge extra for splitting full boxes: 10% for items sold by count eg watercress, and 20% for items sold by weight eg carrots.  You can also order a specific number of an item eg 20 lemons, even though they are sold by weight.

How much does delivery cost?

We charge a minimum of £5 + VAT, but the maximum depends on where you are located, and is a set percentage of the value of your fresh produce order eg 2% for delivery to Leeds or York, and 4% for Sheffield or Middlesbrough.  We do not charge for delivery of groceries.

What discounts will I get?

Fresh produce orders over £200 attract 2% discount, over £500 get 5% discount, and over £1000 7% discount, but  there is no discount on groceries.

Terms of payment

Payment can be made by cash or cheque on delivery – we recycle your payments to our suppliers, who appreciate our cash-on-collection policy, and consequently we do not offer credit terms.  We will ask you to complete our Customer Application form prior to your first order, and we ask for references for cheque payments (bounced cheques incur a £10 charge).
