Position: Packing & Delivery Coordinator

NO CURRENT VACANCY

PART-TIME with potential to become full-time

Duties:

Making-up of wholesale and vegebox fruit & vegetable orders; collection of produce from suppliers; delivery of made-up orders to customers and collection of payments, potential to assist with horticulture or in office

Hours & Conditions of Work:

Flexible generally 08:00 to 16:30hrs, 24 hrs Monday to Wednesday

Start Date:

April 2011

Pay & Benefits:

From £6.40 per hour, with supplements for First Aid Certificate, Forklift certificate, and Advanced Driving; Bank Holidays and overtime at time-and-a-half; 5.6 weeks annual paid holiday; green travel bonus of up to £3/day; annual service bonus and profit-share; sick pay scheme; free share of fresh produce; discounts on other food purchases; free organic Goosemoor T-shirts and other clothing; lifts to work possible

Skills and Experience required:

Essential:       clean driving record; ability to drive 3.5T van; strength and physical fitness; literacy; numeracy; ability to provide good customer service; minimum age 25 (for insurance purposes)

Desirable:      knowledge of issues linking food, health and the environment; ability to drive forklift and tractor; knowledge of horticulture, vehicle maintenance, & computers; food retailing experience

Position: Book-keeper

NO CURRENT VACANCY

Duties:

Book-keeping using Quickbooks, including cash & bank reconciliations, VAT reporting, purchase order reconciliation & supplier payments, credit control, sales order processing

Hours & Conditions of Work:

Approx 32 hrs, but up to 40 hrs for multi-skilled person; flexible times generally 08:00 to 16:30hrs, Monday to Friday

Essential:      experience of: book-keeping using Quickbooks or similar, spreadsheets, email, computerised sales order processing; ability to work both on own initiative and as a team-player, with a positive attitude to problem-solving

Desirable:   accounting qualifications; familiarity with ecommerce; knowledge of issues linking food, health and the environment

Position: Sales Administrator

Duties:

Working as part of the administration team, processing customer orders & responding to customer enquiries; picking small orders in the warehouse

Hours & Conditions of Work:

24 hrs Monday 07:00-15:30, Tuesday 08:00-16:30, Friday 07:00-15:30

Start Date:

October 2010

Desirable:    Familiarity with spreadsheets, book-keeping, ecommerce; management skills; knowledge of issues linking food, health and the environment; food retailing and/or warehouse experience

Position: Horticultural Assistant (casual)

Duties:

Production of a range of protected vegetables on 2-acre site with 5 polythene tunnels from March-October

Hours & Conditions of Work:

Flexible on a day-to-day basis; no-smoking workplace

Negotiable

From £6.40 per hour depending on skills and experience, overtime at time-and-a-half; 5.4 weeks annual paid holiday; green travel bonus of up to £3/day; free share of fresh produce; discounts on other food purchases; free organic Goosemoor T-shirts and sweatshirts; lifts to work possible

Skills and Experience required:

Essential:       experience of vegetable-growing; strength and physical fitness
